ISA 2004 support
by Rob,
- Trend has just opened a beta of their product for ISA 2004, but it's way too late in my opinion. We've been using their WebProtect for ISA 2000 for years with absolutely no issues. It just works. We're now looking for an alternative because ISA 2000 goes off mainsteam support on March 31, 2006 and we need to get ISA 2004 installed before it's replaced by ISA 2006. <sigh>
We're very disappointed with Trend's lack of support, but it probably reflects their (lack of?) sales for the product. That does not bode good news for their future support.

WebProtect for ISA follow-on product
by Elgin,
- I just talked with a technical sales rep at Trend. He said they are currently testing a product that will be a follow-on to WebProtect that will be a free upgrade for current WebProtect owners. This new product will support ISA 2004.

Great product, but Trend has no intent of supporting 2004.
by Al,
Product Rating: 5/5
- We have been using this for 2+ years. It works great. Scheduled updates always happen. It is also pretty customizable. One thing though, all downloads are kept on the ISA server until complete... not a bad thing, you will have to educate your users as to why they do not see any traffic coming to them like they were use to. Trend has NO intent of developing a "plug-in" type product for 2004. So, it looks like we are moving toward GFI.
Tech specs:
3 dl360's G2's w/ dual processors 2 gigs of memory.
ISA 2000 Enterprise, clustered in a array.
Supporting 4000 users. Granted, it's more than we really need, but why chance it.
